Sunagakure No Sato is one of the five great villages, and it is situated in the middle of a vast and hot desert, surrounded by nothing but sand and occasional canyons. The houses are mostly built out of mud and clay, that will stay cool even in the hottest of days. It's population is vast, and it's best know for it's shinobi often being Wind natured.

Kumogakure No Sato is one of the five great villages, and it's got its name for literally being protected by clouds, given the village's height. The buildings are mainly built on sides of mountains, in shapes of glass spheres and half-spheres. Kumo shinobi are famous for their usage of Lightning techniques and the fact that majority of them are well trained in the usage of sword.
